Keeping Talossa big, free, and fun since 1985

Introduction

In 1995 your Progressive Conservative government revitalized Talossa by putting the vast new technology of the Internet at the country's fingertips. Since then, Talossa's population has more than doubled! But one thing hasn't changed -- the PC is still the party that's writing the success story of the vibrant and democratic Kingdom of Talossa.

Isn't it ironic that Talossa's oldest party put Talossa on the Internet? Not really -- it's in keeping with our heritage as Progressive Conservatives. Inspired by our decade-old commitment to Democracy, Activity, Monarchy and Patriotism, we "Tories" are always looking for (as Darth Vader put it) "new ways to motivate" Talossans to do more for their adopted country.

Welcome to the official home site of the Progressive Conservative Party of Talossa -- a dynamic, multi-member organization united to keep Talossa free, strong, and fun. This is your introduction to who and what we are -- and it's your invitation to work with us as we build tomorrow's greater Talossa.

Our Mission

Unambiguously committed to Talossa's grandiloquent heritage and democratic values, your PC team is a firmly founded, flexible institution. Trustworthy and transparent, Talossa's PC stands with King and "Pope" for democracy, activity, monarchy, patriotism, accountability, and total involvement in the sustained, steel-hard upward thrust for higher heights! Vote PC--it's important!

You Need Allies

Helping to shape Talossa's future is really quite simple. All you've got to do is get involved. And the Progressive Conservative Party welcomes your involvement, because the more involved you become, the more the PC will reflect the beliefs and desires of more Talossans.

How involved can you become?

There is no limit to what you can do with us! There are no boundaries to the influence and contribution you can make. All you need to do is become a member of the Progressive Conservative Party. As a member you can participate in political debates, express your own views, and work towards having those views become part of policy on the provincial or the national level.

After all, the party is simply a reflection of the views of its members. The strength of your beliefs and your ability to arouse support from other members determines the impact your views will have. You'll have constant opportunities to mobilize public opinion and help elect yourself and your fellow Tories into government.

This is what Talossa is all about! But to really get anywhere, and really make a difference, you need allies -- and that's why joining the Tories is the ideal way to do Talossa.

Party Identity

On the Talossan political spectrum, the PC occupies the moderate centre -- alone. Representing on average half the population, the PC is Talossa's only middle-ground party. From a Talossan perspective, the PC is generally conservative. Not always on irrelevant US, Canadian, Brazilian, Italian, Norwegian or British issues, but on those issues that really matter in Talossa: our values, history, and heritage.

As part of a project to understand Talossa's political parties, the national newspaper Střtanneu did a lengthy story on the Progressive Conservatives, which was in turn published by the Progressive Conservatives as a leaflet in February, 1996. This article is not always "flattering," but it is very accurate as to how Progressive Conservatives think of themselves and of the rôle their party plays in Talossa's history. You can read it for yourself here.

Bells and Whistles

The Progressive Conservative Party adopted the basic design of this logo in 1985, when the Party was first organized. The logo shows a map of the Kingdom of Talossa, indicating our historic commitment to territoriality. The pattern of lines, officially described as "fluctuating density," is symbolic of the heraldic colours of green and red on Talossa's national flag.

The official colour of the Progressive Conservative Party is blue, which is symbolic of the ("blueblood") Monarchy and of the Party's commitment to social harmony and peace through democracy, activity, monarchy and patriotism. The Party has used blue as its official colour since its foundation in 1985. It is used on the official Party Flag (visible at the top of this page), which was adopted in 1997.

An Invitation... to Join the Party of Success!

To succeed in Talossa you need allies. And the Progressive Conservative Party, as Talossa's national movement, needs your support. If you like what you see and wish to join an open and dynamic party, where your voice will be listened to and where you can take an active rôle in governing Talossa right away, then we invite you to join the Progressive Conservatives today.
