Michael J. Pope
(Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Talossa): Prime Minister of the Kingdom of
Talossa since the spring of 1999, Michael J. Pope joined Talossa in 1998 and immediately
joined the Progressive Conservative Party. Michael hails from the Virginia suburbs of
Washington, D.C., where he and his wife are expecting twins (who may boost the RT
population by 2 before this election is even over!) In his professional life, Michael
works for the U.S. Government. In Talossa, he has been a bridge between different
tendencies in the Progressive Conservative Party, where he is known for his diplomatic
skills and principled (if not always popular) stands on issues. As Seneschál (Prime
Minister), Michael Pope has pioneered a national effort to gain new publicity for Talossa.
Michael is a fine Prime Minister, and he deserves your vote! |

John A. Jahn
(Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Talossa, , Defence Minister, Chairman of
the Talossan Immigration Commission (TIC), Editor-in-Chief of Talossan National News, Grand
General Secretary of Maritiimi-Maxhestic Province): John Jahn is one of Talossa's
most distinguished citizens. He first became a citizen in 1983 and was Talossa's very
first elected Prime Minister in the modern democratic age (1985-present). Leader for a
number of years of the conservative Talossan National Party, Jahn joined the Progressive
Conservatives in 1991 and was elected to an unprecedented four terms as Prime Minister.
His efforts saved Talossa from complete collapse in 1991. John is dedicated to preserving
civil rights for those Talossans not currently on the Internet. John is pursuing a
teaching career in the Milwaukee area and writes movie reviews for the Wisconsin Light, a
local paper serving the Gay and Lesbian community. He was chosen as Distáin (Deputy PM)
by Prime Minister Michael Pope in 1999, and this partnership demonstrates the Progressive
Conservatives' dual commitment to Talossa's "Cybercit" and "Old
Growth" populations. |

 |
Christopher C.
Gruber (Secretary of State, Minister of Propaganda, Former Prime Minister):
One of Talossa's fastest-rising stars, Gruber hails from Tallahassee, Florida. He's
married, and is one of the few Talossans to actually have successfully produced any
offspring. Chris joined Talossa in the early part of 1998 and immediately set to work on
creating an online journal for Talossan culture, called Vénéneux, and an
official home page for Talossa's summertime bash, TalossaFest. Chris has proven himself to
be a moderate with a vision of Talossa interacting with micronations that respect our
sovereignty and our heritage, while standing up to "bug nations" and the violent
fringe of micronationalism. Articulate, friendly, and willing to work with people he
disagrees with to achieve consensus where consensus is possible--but neither frustrated
nor paranoid when none is possible--Gruber was a great Prime Minister and a valuable
addition to your Progressive Conservative team. |

 |
R. Ben
Madison (PC Party Secretary, Deputy Secretary of State, Minister of
Stuff, Editor-in-Chief of Střtanneu, and
former Premier of Vuode Province):
Better known as King Robert I, R. Ben Madison ("Ben" to most of us) founded the
Kingdom of Talossa in 1979 and is the country's leading author and journalist. Ben has a
Master's Degree in European History and is earning his teacher's certification at Cardinal
Stritch University. He has published numerous articles on Mormon and Early Christian
history in a variety of scholarly journals. Ben serves as Church Historian for the Restoration Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints in which he holds the priesthood office of High Priest. |

 |
John C. Eiffler (Justice of the Talossan
Uppermost Cort): One of Talossa's first dozen citizens, John Eiffler was associated
with the Kingdom from the days of its birth in 1979 as a student at Riverside High School
in Milwaukee. He joined Talossa in early 1985 and has supported the Progressive
Conservative Party and a variety of other parties during his fourteen years as a Talossan
citizen. For several years, John served the country with distinction as a member of the
Uppermost Cort. Widely hailed as "the conscience of Talossa," John Eiffler is
famous for standing up to the country's other bigwigs in defence of principle--and for
helping to insure that the country's tempers don't get too heated. |

 |
Matthias Muth (Senior Justice of the
Talossan Uppermost Cort, Senator, Maestro of Mussolini Province): Matthias
Muth joined Talossa from his perch at Marquette University in December of 1995, just prior
to the mass influx of "Cybercits" from outside the Milwaukee area. He is
currently at law school in Dayton, Ohio. Matthias earned himself a knighthood in 1997
after he single-handedly directed the laborious process of drafting and rewriting the
country's current constitution, the 1997 Organic Law. Loyal to the Progressive
Conservatives in his political persona, Matthias is stubbornly independent when it comes
to his duty on the Cort--a duty he takes very seriously. He also serves as the
democratically elected "Maestro" (Premier) of Talossa's Mussolini Province. |

 |
Tomás Gariçéir (Speaker of the Cosâ,
Former Senator and Ex-Military Governor of Atatürk Province): One of Talossa's
earliest "cybercits," Tomás has served as President of CÚG -- the quango that
oversees the evolution and codification of the Talossan language. A devotee of el
glheţ Talossán, Tomás has written numerous documents in Talossan and participated
in the first-ever Talossan language conversation, with King Robert I, in early 1998! |

 |
Weston J. Erni (Wargames Minister,
Governor of Pengöpäts, Talossa's Antarctic Territory): Wes is one of
Talossa's oldest and most distinguished citizens, having joined the RT back in 1985. Wes
served two terms as Prime Minister of Talossa, once as the leader of the Black Hand party
in 1986-87, and again as leader of the Progressive Conservatives in 1990-91. He served as
a Justice of the Uppermost Cort of Talossa throughout most of the 1990's. Wes brings a
number of talents to Talossa, the most notable being his worship of the country's
unofficial national entertainer, Gloria Estefan. Erni's approach to Talossa is most
concerned with keeping a good sense of humour about the whole thing, and preventing
Talossa from crusting over in its own political bickering. Wes works as a world-renowned
professional bridge instructor, and is also a champion wargamer with numerous tournament
trophies to his credit. |

 |
Dale Morris
(Citizen of Maricopa Province, Former Prime Minister): Dale lives in Texas
where he attends college. A distinguished participant in many of Talossa's most important
events, Dale joined Talossa in 1997, was elected Deputy Prime Minister by Tory delegates
to the Cosâ in March of that year, and was Prime Minister from April 1997 through January
1998. Dale is a Talossan-language enthusiast and member of CÚG, the country's largest
cultural organization. He is assigned to Maricopa Province, and is helping to organize the
provincial government there. |

 |
John Minot
(Attorney General): John Minot is alive and well and enjoys killing people for
sport. Ever since his initial taste for blood as Attorney General, John has proven himself
to be full of moxie, with a smidge of chutzpah! |

 |
Dr. Alberto
Manassero (Citizen of Cézembre Province, Former Prime Minister): Alberto
is one of the original "Mercury 7" -- the first Cybercits who joined Talossa in
early 1996. He works for the Disney Store in his home-town of Pinerolo, Italy. He was
elected by the PC's delegates in the Cosâ as Prime Minister in March, 1996 and has the
distinction of being Talossa's very first Cybercit Prime Minister. Alberto has more
political experience than most Talossans, having worked as an assistant to his Italian
Member of Parliament in the Chamber of Deputies in Rome. Alberto was recently awarded his
Ph.D. in political science. |

 |
John
McGarry (leader of Maricopa Province, Former Prime Minister): John
McGarry joined Talossa in 1993 and immediately affiliated with the Progressive
Conservatives. He served one hopelessly undistinguished term as Prime Minister in early
1995. John is assigned to has served as a PC Member of the Cosâ for most of the last four
years. He currently lives in Delaware where he works as a speech pathologist for the
Delaware public schools. He is the father of two "Dandelions" -- native-born
Talossan children, who, not many years hence, will be old enough to vote PC! |
